Botu Kodi Thirumangalayam

South Indian Thali (Thirumangalayam) Mangalsutra: This particular thali style is called Botu, featuring two round kodis, crafted in 22 karat yellow gold. This pendant, which is an auspicious symbol of marriage is always worn on a gold chain or a yellow cord (manja kayiru), popularly by Tamil and Telugu communities.  The individual thali is comparable in size to a dime (10 cent coin).
