Thali or Thirumangalayam is the south Indian form of the Mangalsutra: Auspicious 3 Leg Diamond Thali reversible pendant, studded with a magenta pink stone on one side, handcrafted in 22 karat yellow gold. It is a customary symbol of exchanging marriage vows in Tamil and Telugu ceremonies, usually worn on a gold chain or a yellow cord (manja kayiru) of 3 mm or under.
