Thali or Thirumangalayam is the south Indian form of the Mangalsutra: 3 Leg Keel Thulasi Thali pendant, handcrafted in 22 karat yellow gold is a customary symbol of exchanging marriage vows in Tamil and Telugu ceremonies. The design features Thulsi leaf (Tulsi), the Moon (Melpoo) & the Sun (Suriyan); loops are provided behind the thali which can be used to wear with a gold chain or a yellow cord (manja kayiru) of 3 mm or under.
